Commitment To Privacy:

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this policy explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.


Information We Collect:

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on the Guild KOS website. The only information that is required on this website is your email address, a username, and a password for authentication. Your username does not have to be, and for security and privacy reason probably shouldn't be your real name. No where on this website is it required you disclose any personal information unless your choose to do so.


How We Use Information:

We do not disclose any information we collect to any third party and is not used outside of the Guild KOS website. The majority of the information you provide will only be publically displayed if your specify it can be. The only exception to this is disclosing information to law enforcement if they have a valid reason or a court order.


Your email address is only used by us when you initially register. An activation email is sent to you to confirm your email address, and then a welcome email may be sent once you activate your account. Beyond this no emails will be send to you buy us unless you specify you wish to receive them. Other emails may include updates and notices about your account, new features we have available on the website, annoucements and reminders, etc. Note, in order to receive these emails you must opt-in and specify in your account you wish to receive emails from the website. If at any point you wish not to receive emails from the website, you have the ability to do this at any time. The exception to this is Guild KOS members whom can receive emails from the website at any point.


We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.


Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the one's described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.


Commitment To Data Security:

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. All passwords stored on this website are encrypted using a one-way-encryption. This means that once encrypted it cannot be decrypted. As a result, anyone accessing the database (authorized or unauthorized) will be unable see your password. Due to this measure, we are unable to notify you of your password if you forget it, we are only able to reset it with a new password.


Commitment To Children's Privacy:

We will never knowingly collect or maintain any information on our website about anyone whom is under the age of 13. Guild KOS.com is a website meant to be used primarily by Guild KOS members. It is a guild comprised of mostly adults, and no members under the age of 13. We generally play video games rated M for mature, which are not meant to be played by another who is not an adult, and especially not by anyone under the age of 13. For that reason no one under the age of 13 is even permitted to use this website.


General Forum Usage:

Any and all information you disclose on the Guild KOS is at your own discretion. GuildKOS.com takes accept's no responcibility for anything that that is users post on its forums. Any forum content is the sole ownership of the user whom posted it. If you suspect that one of our users has posted material that they don't own (or that you own), notify an administrator and it will be investigated and handled immediately. It is not our policy to allow any material on our forums that belongs to someone whom does not wish it to reside on our website.


How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information:

You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by logging into your account and editing your profile. At any time you can modify any of the information we collect with the exception of your username. There are a few exceptions, such as it is not possible for your username to be changed. Anyone, at any time, can request that their account be permanently removed from our databases, which will remove all personally information related to it.


You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request that credibly shows error.


To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
